There will be a temporary disruption of water service required for nearby construction and it is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2015. It is anticipated it will begin late morning and will last for a few hours weather permitting. The rain date is Wednesday, May 27th. Please call Stowe Water Department with questions at 253-6512. The VT 108 Bridge is located on the Mountain Road approximately 350 feet north of the intersection of VT 100 and VT 108 in Stowe. The Vermont Agency of Transportation will began construction of the new bridge on Monday, April 6th. The bridge will reopen at 11 am on Friday, May 22, 2015. Signage will indicate detours around the project and a temporary light signal will be installed at the intersection of VT 100 and West Hill Road (at Shaws Supermarket). Project completion is scheduled for August 28, 2015. There will be intermittent single lane closures beginning in June.Please allow for extra travel time...
*** I 89 BRIDGES PROJECT at Exit 10 - Stowe/Waterbury
This spring VTRANS will continue this project and begin repair of the aging parts of the I-89 mainline substructure and replace concrete decks which includes the complete replacement the Exit 10 Northbound Off-Ramp bridge. Traffic will be diverted onto crossoversand the Southbound on-ramp from Waterbury-Stowe will be closed during afternoon peak travel time. The existing southbound on ramp from Waterbury village will be closed, at a minimum for the duration of the project. For all the information on the project, please refer to the VTRANS link.
